(WDAF) - Frontier Airlines is celebrating its 29th anniversary with special rates for customers, but travelers need to act quickly to get the deal.The customer appreciation sale includes flights as low as $29 for travel through Nov. 15, 2023. Certain blackout dates apply.For an additional $29, travelers can add a bundle that includes a carry-on bag, a checked bag, and the ability to select a seat. There is also a $49 add-on bundle option that includes a refundable ticket. Both options include one free change to your reservation. MISSOURI - A new study ranks the Show Me State among the 10 worst states "to live and work" in 2023. CNBC recently published a study that named Missouri as the sixth-worst state when considering the overall quality of life and work opportunities. The rankings consider factors related to residential life, environmental health and workplace inclusion. The eight-foot tall plants are among the largest of their type in the plant kingdom and witnessing the rare bloom is a feast for the eyes, and an experience for your nose. It comes with a powerful stink that is compared to rotting flesh.The Missouri Botanical Garden says that Octavia now has a twin. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Hazelwood man is accused of robbing and assaultinganother man while holding him at gunpoint.According to a probable cause statement filed by the Hazelwood Police Department, the victim visited the station on July 6 to file a report. Officers noticed the man had bruises on his head and face.The victim told police that Steven Williamson, 34, held him against his will at Williamson’s apartment in the 7500 block of Hazelcrest Drive. Williamson, who was armed at the time, allegedly took the victim’s cell phone and then struck him several times. Police claim a witness corroborated the victim’s story. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has declined to file charges against a man who was the target of a sting operation by an underground group that exposes and helps apprehend online child predators. A man was seen calmly walking away from a fire near a Studio City apartment building along the 101 Freeway early Tuesday morning, though officials have not confirmed if they are investigating the incident as arson.The fire was reported at about 3:20 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol and Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.When firefighters arrived at the scene at the southbound 101 and Lankershim Boulevard, they were able to extinguish the blaze with one engine, Stewart said. One Dead, 2 Others Hospitalized after 2-Car Accident near Douglas BoulevardCITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (July 18, 2023) – Late Sunday afternoon, one teen girl was killed in a red-light collision on Barton Road.Authorities responded to the scene around 5:40 p.m., near Douglas Boulevard.Per reports, the 16-year-old driver of a red Jeep failed to yield at the intersection and struck a 2003 black Escalade. Upon impact, the Jeep overturned and partially ejected a 15-year-old female passenger.Paramedics arrived and transported the 17-year-old Escalade driver and the two other teens to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
